Terms of Service
Plans, billing and what Octopost does
Octopost is operated by Great Work LLC (Delaware, USA). These points describe how the service and its billing work, and they are part of these terms.
- Prices. Basic $29, Premium $79 and Business $199 per month in US dollars, billed monthly by Stripe. Prices are listed at octopost.ink/pricing. There is no free plan.
- Trial. A first plan starts with a 7-day trial that costs $1, charged when you start it, with a card on file. On day 8 the plan bills monthly unless you cancel before then. We email you about two days before the trial ends.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time from the billing page, with no contract and no cancellation fee. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. After that, scheduled and queued posts pause and your connected accounts and drafts stay in your account.
- Plan changes. Upgrades and downgrades apply right away and Stripe prorates the difference on your next invoice.
- X post allowance. Each plan includes a monthly number of X post units (Basic 500, Premium 1,500, Business 4,000). A plain X post uses 1 unit and a post containing a link uses 13. When the allowance is used up, X posting stops until the 1st of the next month or until you upgrade. We do not charge overage.
- Networks. X is available to customers. Threads becomes available after Meta approves the Octopost app. Bluesky, LinkedIn and Mastodon are in testing and may fail. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, Slack and Telegram are not supported. Current status: octopost.ink/roadmap. A network moving between these states is not a change to your plan or price.
- What we post. Octopost publishes only content that you, or software using your API key or session, sends to it, to the accounts you connected. Posts sent to the approval queue are not published until you approve them.
- Your keys and accounts. Anyone with your API key can post as you; keep it secret and regenerate it if it leaks. You can disconnect a social account or delete your account at any time (see the data deletion page).
- Support. Email hello@greatwork.company. A person answers.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using this website, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Use License
Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Octopost's website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
- Modifying or copying the materials
- Using the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
- Attempting to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the website
- Removing any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
- Transferring the materials to another person or "mirroring" the materials on any other server
3. Disclaimer
The materials on Octopost's website are provided on an 'as is' basis. Octopost makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.
4. Limitations
In no event shall Octopost or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Octopost's website, even if Octopost or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
5. Accuracy of Materials
The materials appearing on Octopost's website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Octopost does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. Octopost may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.
6. Links
Octopost has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Octopost of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.
7. Modifications
Octopost may revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
8. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
