Octopost is not a fit if
- You need Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Facebook. Octopost does not support them; Postiz or Post Bridge do.
- You need Bluesky, LinkedIn or Mastodon in production today. They are in testing here.
- A social media team wants a content calendar, analytics and reports. Buffer is built for that.
- You want a free plan. Octopost has none; the cheapest way in is 7 days for $1.

Questions
How does the $1 trial work?
You pick a plan and add a card on Stripe Checkout. We charge $1 today and you get the full plan for 7 days. On day 8 the plan bills monthly unless you cancel first from your billing page. We email you two days before it renews.
Is there a free plan?
No. Octopost is a paid tool, and the $1 trial is the cheapest way to try every feature.
What is an X post unit?
X charges per post on its API, and about 13 times more for a post that contains a link. So each plan includes a monthly X allowance: a plain X post uses 1 unit and a post with a link uses 13. Other networks are not metered. The allowance resets on the 1st of each month.
Can my AI agent use Octopost on the Basic plan?
Yes. The MCP server and REST API are on every plan. Create an API key in the dashboard and add one line to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI or Windsurf.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrades and downgrades take effect right away and Stripe prorates the difference.
What counts as a social account?
Each connected profile. Two X profiles count as 2 accounts.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. After that, scheduled and queued posts pause, and your connected accounts and drafts stay put in case you come back.
How do I pay?
Any major credit or debit card through Stripe. Invoices are in your billing page.
